• Your Input Data: We never see, store, or transmit any data you enter into our tools. All processing happens locally in your browser.
• Personal Information: We don't require registration, so we don't collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal identifiers.
• Tracking Cookies: We don't use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes.
• User Accounts: We don't have user accounts, so there's no profile data, preferences, or history to store.
• IP Addresses: We don't log or store IP addresses for tracking purposes.
• Device Information: We don't collect device fingerprints, browser details, or system information.
• Location Data: We don't track or store your geographic location.
• Usage History: We don't maintain a history of which tools you've used or what you've converted.

2. How Our Tools Work (Client-Side Processing)

Understanding how TechConverter works will help you understand why your privacy is protected:

When You Use a Tool:

1. You load the tool page from our server (just the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code)
2. You enter your data into the tool
3. JavaScript code running in YOUR browser processes the data
4. The result is displayed in YOUR browser
5. Your data never leaves your computer

Example: When you use our JSON to YAML converter:

• You paste JSON into the input field
• JavaScript in your browser converts it to YAML
• The YAML appears in the output field
• Your JSON never travels to our server
• We never see what you converted

This is true for ALL our tools: Base64 encoding, JWT decoding, hash generation, regex testing—everything runs locally in your browser.

3. Information We Do Collect (Minimal Analytics)

To keep TechConverter running and improve our service, we collect minimal, privacy-respecting analytics:

Server Logs (Temporary)

• What: Basic web server logs (page requests, timestamps, HTTP status codes)
• Why: To monitor server health, detect errors, and prevent abuse
• Retention: Automatically deleted after 7 days
• Content: Does NOT include your input data, only which pages were accessed

Aggregated Usage Statistics

• What: Anonymous counts of which tools are most popular
• Why: To understand which tools to improve and what new tools to build
• How: We may use privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no tracking)
• Example: "The JSON to YAML converter was used 1,000 times this month"

Important: Even these minimal analytics never include your actual data or personally identifiable information.

4. Third-Party Services

TechConverter is designed to minimize third-party dependencies:

What We Use:

• Hosting: DigitalOcean (for server infrastructure)
• SSL/TLS: Let's Encrypt (for HTTPS encryption)
• CDN: Cloudflare (for DDoS protection and performance)

What We DON'T Use:

• Google Analytics or similar tracking services
• Facebook Pixel or social media trackers
• Advertising networks
• Third-party authentication providers
• External APIs that would receive your data

Cloudflare Note: We use Cloudflare for DDoS protection and performance. Cloudflare may temporarily cache page content and collect minimal connection data. However, your input data (what you convert/encode/decode) never passes through Cloudflare because it's processed client-side.

5. Data Security

Even though we don't collect your data, we still take security seriously:

• HTTPS Encryption: All connections use TLS 1.3 encryption
• Secure Headers: We implement Content Security Policy and other security headers
• No Data Storage: Since we don't store your data, there's no database to breach
• Regular Updates: We keep our software and dependencies up to date
• Minimal Attack Surface: Client-side processing means less server-side code to exploit

6. Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to:

• Request access to (we don't have your data)
• Request deletion of (we don't store your data)
• Request correction of (we don't maintain your data)
• Opt out of (we don't track you)

Your data stays on your device, under your control, always.

7. International Users

TechConverter is accessible worldwide. Because all processing happens client-side in your browser:

• Your data never crosses international borders
• GDPR compliance is inherent (no personal data collected)
• CCPA compliance is inherent (no personal data sold)
• No data residency concerns

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• We'll maintain our core commitment to privacy
• We'll never retroactively change how we handle data
